Hearings about ownership of Wahaha’s trademark begin-Danone tent to withdraw the arbitration

 

Hearings about ownership of Wahaha’s trademark which is the key dispute between Wahaha and Danone has begun at the No.11 court of Intermediate People's Court of Hangzhou on July 9.

 

The hearing lasted over two hours, there are only one female judge surnamed Shen and a clerk representing the court at the scene and no delegation of Wahaha Group of Hangzhou appear in the court. Danone has sent five lawyers to the court to apply to withdraw the judging paper for "revocation of the Hangzhou Arbitration Committee ruled on the trademark of Wahaha being the property of Wahaha Group".

 

It is learnt that Wahaha demand, hearing of this case will be held again on the 16th. Both of these two hearings are the normal judicial process before a public hearing for the case by the judge from primary court, which mainly listen to the application or statements from both parties, audit related evidence and will not to have any substantive impact for the ownership of trademark.
