French clothing companies start sales promotion early this summer to deal with "recession".

Many of the French clothing companies can not wait for the discount season and start sales promotion early this summer.

According to regulations, the discount season of this summer should be started on the 25th of this month, but many clothing sellers have begun to cut price for promotion, such as buying two will get another one for free one; the second one can have 80% discount or simply cut the price from 30 to 60 percent. Clothing sellers hope to attract customers as soon as possible, stimulate consumption and return the purchase through the promotion.

French clothing and textile market have been sluggish since the beginning of this year, the amount of clothing sales has declined nearly 10 percent comparing to the same period of last year. Weather condition is a reason for the depressing market, but more important one is the effect from macroeconomic situation. The price of fuel and food keep rising, which make the trend of the actual purchasing power of residents go relatively down. In response to the various rising costs, consumers have to reduce the expenditure on clothing or defer the purchase in this area.
