Mr. Wang Maolin, President of CIIMC, Met with Mr. Robert Horn,
Partner of Patton Boggs Law Firm and His Wife
On the afternoon of August 16th, 2006, Mr. Wang Maolin, President of CIIMC, met with Mr. Horn, the visiting Partner of Patton Boggs Law Firm of U.S. and his wife in the meeting room of CIIMC. Mr. Horn had a great deal of experiences of serving for many Republican and Democratic presidents of America, and he serves as Chairman of the Republican National Lawyers Association. Due to his efforts and contributions to the Republican Party, President George Bush recently awarded him with an Honorary Medal. His wife Ms. Marian is the present judge of United States Court of Federal Claims. President Wang Maolin gave a detailed introduction of CIIMC to the guests. Both sides exchanged ideas on the issue of future cooperation, especially on how to provide legal services for American enterprises investing in China and Chinese enterprises investing in the United States.
The persons who accompanied Mr. Horn were: Mr. Qiu Shengyun, Former Consul General of the Embassy of China in New York, Mr. Norman Swanson, President of Global Equity Corporation, and his wife.
Other leaders of CIIMC present at the meeting were: Mr. Zhang Xiaoyu, Executive Vice President and Secretary General, Vice Presidents Mr. Zhang Xiuxue, Mr. Tian Guoliang and Shen Guofang. Mr. Ma Jianrong, Director General of Governmental Affairs of Lenovo Group, and Mr. Fan Shiwen, Director Lawyer of Huicheng Law Firm (Legal Advisor of CIIMC), also attended at the meeting.
After the meeting, Executive Vice President and Secretary General Zhang Xiaoyu held a banquet in honor of the guests.
