CIIMC Reached a Co -operation Intent with His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent GCVO and His Financial and Business Review Delegation of

the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

On the afternoon of 14^th May 2006, Mr. Wang Maolin, Vice Chairman, Law Committee of NPC and President of CIIMC, Mr. Chen Yaoxian, Vice Chairman, Economic Affairs Committee and Chief Vice-President of CIIMC, and other leaders met with His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent GCVO and his Financial and Business Review Delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. His Royal Highness is concurrently the Patron of the Genesis Initiative, representing the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector in the United Kingdom and His Royal Highness possesses a deep influence on commercial activities. Furthermore, he also highly supports the outward development of the enterprises of the United Kingdom.

President Wang Maolin firstly delivered a welcome speech to His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent GCVO and his delegation, and introduced the situation of CIIMC. His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent GCVO was most grateful to President Wang’s warm welcome, and he extended his praise to the business of CIIMC. The main members of the delegation also introduced their respective businesses. His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent GCVO and his delegation showed great enthusiasm to the promotion of the exchange and co-operation between China and the United Kingdom. The two parties communicated with each other cordially regarding the issues of how to make full use of their respective advantages, how to promote non-governmental communication and co-operation between China and the United Kingdom, and how to provide consultation services in the areas of law, commerce, market and technology for the enterprises of both parties, and they reached a co -operation intent. Later, Mr. Zhang Xiaoyu, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of CIIMC (representing CIIMC) signed the Meeting Memorandum with The Most Honorable Marquess of Reading, Simon Charles Henry, President of Stoke Park Club, Charitarian, (representing the Financial and Business Review Delegation of the United Kingdom).
