A Letter to the Member Units of the Organizing Committee of the
‘World Economic Development Declaration Conference’
and all the Representatives Present At the Conference
Distinguished Leaders and Friends:
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the ‘World Economic Development Declaration Conference’ and China International Institute of Multinational Corporations, I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to you for your care and support to the ‘World Economic Development Declaration Conference’.
I am glad to tell you that the United Nations has distributed the World Economic Development Declaration as a document under agenda items of 91, 93 and 100 of the 58th UN General Assembly to its 191 member countries. It is an honour of all of us. I sincerely thank you for your care and support to such a great cause as the Declaration. I hope that we can continue to make joint efforts to promote the implementation of the Nine Principles of the Declaration.
Recently, we have seen the high appraisal given by Secretary General Annan to the World Economic Development Declaration which on the news front page of the UN website. He believes that the World Economic Development Declaration initiated by China is a support to the United Nations work and the cause of the global development……
In order to carry out President Hu Jintao’s instruction of ‘making the government affairs public’, and enable enterprises to know and master the economic and industrial policies of the country better, we plan to hold the ‘Talk on China’s Economic Situation’ in the National School of Administration from January 15th to 17th, 2005. Theme of the conference is to ‘analyze China’s economic policy, and guide enterprises to develop healthily’. The Talk is sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the World Economic Development Declaration and jointly undertaken by the National School of Administration and CIIMC. At that time, we will invite state leaders and leaders from 9 ministries and commissions, namely, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture, People’s Bank of China, China Securities Regulatory Commission, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Ministry of Finance, Office of Informationization of the State Council and National Bureau of Statistics, etc. to make thematic reports from different angles, and directors from relevant ministries and commissions to have dialogues with the participating representatives and answer questions of common concerns.
