On May 26th and 27th, 2004, CIIMC held a series of activities of “Multinational Corporations Shake Hands with College Students” in Beijing Friendship Hotel, with the purpose of enabling college students to know the personnel mechanism of multinational corporations and influence of multinational corporations’ cultural differences on talent demanding.
The activity was jointly launched by 50 universities such as Tsing Hua University, Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Institute of Technology, etc. Over 4000 college students actively participated in the activity and over 20 media reported this event. The whole activity was run through by the theme of “Liveliness and Energy, Opportunities and Challenges”. The activity set 4 topics, namely, how technical and marketing talents realize their values and make their dream come true in multinational corporations; service-oriented multinational corporations will provide you with vast space to perform your intelligence; how should female college students face multinational corporations; skills of applying for positions in multinational corporations. Presidents of some famous multinational corporations in China such as Microsoft, Honeywell, Hewlett-Packard, Mckinsey & Company, Ogilvy, D&B, Prudential, Rayli and Korn/Ferry International, etc. were invited to deliver keynote speeches, and had interaction communications with the students.
During the activity, the speech guests will select 12 “Winners of Gold Keys” to participate in the activity of Jueduitiaozhan of CCTV. Furthermore, CIIMC and Zhilian zhaopin.com will jointly set up “Talents’ Database” for students to lodge their resumes willingly, and the resumes will be recommended to relevant multinational corporations free of charge.
