UN Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon Attended UN Global Compact Symposium Organized by CIIMC at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse
On the afternoon of 2nd July, 2008, UN Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon attended the UN Global Compact Symposium organized by CIIMC and relevant units at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse during his visit in China and delivered an important speech. He highly appraised and appreciated the active participation of Chinese enterprise in the work of UN Global Compact and their contribution.
President Mr. Wang Maolin and Executive Vice-President & Secretary-General Mr. Zhang Xiaoyu of our organization attended the symposium. Leaders from China Enterprise Confederation (CEC), China Society for Promotion of the Guangcai Program (CSPGP) and some leaders from large-scale Chinese enterprises which have joined the UN Global Compact also attended the symposium.
President Mr. Wang Maolin, President of CEC Mr. Wang Zhongyu and Vice-President of CSPGP Mr. Huang Yaojin delivered keynote speeches. Mr. Chen Yuan, President of China Development Bank, Mr. Zhai Ruoyu, President of Datang Telecom Technology Co., Ltd. and Mr. Zhang Zhongzheng, President of Befar Group etc., delivered speeches on behalf of Chinese enterprises. Also in attendance at the symposium were Mr. Wei Jiafu, President of COSCO Group, Mr. Zhang Yue, President of Broad Air Conditioning and Mr. Huang Bilie, President of Sinotrans Group, etc.
