3. Method of Establishing Assessment Model

Credit assessment adopts the method of both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, with the focus on the latter and the former is an important reference to the latter. On the basis of carrying out mathematical statistic analysis toward high-class database, we appraise the enterprises’ repaying aspiration and capability. Essentially, credit assessment, established on objective basis, is a judgement linked with qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis.

Rationality of rating system, reliability of rating analysis and judgement, and objectiveness of rating are three major factors of guaranteeing rating quality. Acceptability and trust of market toward assessment results is the decisive factor of existence and development for an evaluation institute.

As the drafter of the world’s first credit rating reference book, when D&B established enterprises’ information database in China, we also carried out profound credit management consultation in each field to establish credit assessment model for customers. Therefore, thoughts of establishing the model is based on our induction of different credit assessment models in previous projects and numerous statistic analysis of relevant data of Chinese enterprises in D&B database, so the draft of the credit assessment model comes into being. The model is fractionized into 50 industries. By  way of collecting and analyzing data of each industry and taking business difference into full consideration, rating standard of each index is the standard of the industry. Furthermore, there are factors that specially take business characteristics into consideration.
