Invitation Letter of the Selection and Promotion Activity of
‘Top 70 Foreign Cities/ Development Zones
to Be Invested by Chinese Enterprises’
The Commercial Department of the Embassy of _______________ in China,
China International Institute of Multinational Corporations (being renamed as China International Institute for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations), is directly supervised by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and is a national consortium specially engaged in the business of multinational corporations. It is well-known in the world for organizing and issuing the World Economic Development Declaration.
In order to enhance the economic exchange and cooperation between our two countries, promote Chinese enterprises to invest in your country and provide them with information of cities/industrial zones (development/bonded zones) with favorable investment environment, and at the same time further improve the image, position and influence of these cities/development/zones in the Chinese economic and enterprise circles and accelerate the common development of cities and the zones of both countries, we now launch the selection and promotion activity of ‘The Best Foreign Cities/Development Zones to Be Invested by Chinese Enterprises’.
It is believed that this activity is not only in the interest of peoples of our two countries, but also helpful for attracting foreign investment to your country. Therefore we look forward to having your support and through you acquainting cities and development zones in your country with this activity. With that agreed, we will be very pleased to receive the recommendation list and contact information of best cities/ development zones in your country to be invested by Chinese Enterprises before December 31th, 2006 (The number of recommendation is enclosed). According to the list of your recommendation, we will produce related documents and materials which will be sent to the cities and zones through you.
To make this activity successful, we will also distribute the materials among related Chinese industrial associations, chambers of commerce, famous experts and 10,000 Chinese enterprises for comments. Finally, 50 best foreign cities and 20 best foreign development zones will be selected in accordance to recommendation by Commercial Offices of foreign embassies to China.
Mayors of selected cities and chiefs of selected zones will be invited to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony of the Projects Selection Conference on Investment by Chinese Enterprises in Foreign Countries, and Best Foreign Cities/ Development Zones to Be Invested by Chinese Enterprises to be held in Beijing in the Great Hall of the People. About 1,000 Chinese enterprises will be invited to the ceremony. Chinese and foreign media will be invited to cover the entire event. Meanwhile, a series of follow-up promotion activities will be conducted for the selected cities/ zones as follows:
1. Groups of Chinese enterprises with 10 to 30 in each group will be organized to pay study visit to the cities/zones by stages every year.
2. 5 to 10 major Chinese press agencies will be organized to make report on the cities/zones.
3. Business delegation headed by mayors of the cities or chiefs of the zones will be invited to visit relevant Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, appear on programs of satellite television stations and introduce their cities and zones to Chinese enterprises.
4. Forging of partnership between those cities and economic zones and their Chinese counterparts will be facilitated.
5. Delegations headed by Chinese mayors will be organized to pay study visit to those cities/zones and learn potential investment projects there.
6. Information provided in the selection process will be distributed to no less than 100,000 enterprises in China.
7. All investment projects of selected cities/zones will be included for free in the ‘Global Project Investment” website which CIIMC is currently investing heavily to build. Information about those cities/zones will remain accessible for long on CIIMC website.
8. Investment and Project Workshops will be organized in China for selected cities/ zones.
9. CIIMC is in the position to serve as agent of the cities/zones to attract investment from Chinese enterprises.
