Decision on Carrying out Activities of ‘The Best Chinese Cities/Development Zones to Be Invested by Multinational Corporations during the 11th Five-Year Plan Period’, ‘Enterprises’ International Credit Rating and Promotion’, etc
China International Institute of Multinational Corporations (being renamed as China International Institute for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations), is directly supervised by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and is a national consortium specially engaged in the business of multinational corporations. It is well-known in the world for launching, organizing and issuing the World Economic Development Declaration.
In order to implement the directive of President Hu Jintao ‘How to head for the world with a more active gesture, make full use of two markets and two kind of resources internationally and domestically to master initiatives in the fierce international competition, and promote the economic development of China quickly and finely, is always a significant issue in the overall situation of China’s reform and development’, and the skeleton of the 11th Five-Year Program, elevate the quality and level of utilizing foreign capital as soon as possible, promote the two-way foreign pattern of ‘bringing in’ and ‘going global’ to combine organically, further regulate running order of the market, and promote Chinese enterprises’ credit construction, CIIMC decides to carry out the following activities:
1. In order to enable Chinese and foreign enterprises to select strategic partners in a better way and promote their common development, CIIMC decides to select and promote ‘Top 100 Multinational Corporations with Utmost Core Competitiveness in China during the 11th Five-Year Program’ and ‘Top 100 Chinese Enterprises with Utmost Core Competitiveness during the 11th Five-Year Program’ .
2. In order to give extensive publicity of the cities and development zones with excellent investment environments and abundant resources to the international society, to provide favorable choices for multinational corporations investing in China and Chinese enterprises investing abroad, and to promote economic development of cities and development zones, CIIMC decides to carry out two selection and promotion activities-----’Top 100 Chinese Cities/Development Zones to Be Invested by Multinational Corporations during the 11th Five-Year Program’ and ‘Top 70 Foreign Cities/Development Zones to be Invested by Chinese Enterprises’.
3. Under the trend of globalization of world economy, approved by the National Office of Rectification and Standardization of Market Economic Order, CIIMC associates with U.S. D&B Corporation-----the world largest enterprises’ credit rating institution---to carry out activity of ‘Enterprises’ International Credit Rating and Promotion’ for the promotion of the credit system construction of Chinese enterprises and further elevation of Chinese enterprises’ international competitiveness.
The above-mentioned activities in annual working plan have been reported to Ministry of Commerce to put on records.
